At a minimum, working with Duluth Trading Company means one must poke average in the eye. With a partnership spanning more than a decade, it is safe to say that measuring stick has been repeatedly met and surpassed. However, the ambitious all-new Duluth Trading Company headquarters that opened in 2019 was unlike anything that predated it.
The Duluth brand has seen tremendous growth. So much so that they were working out of several buildings in more than one town. Their new four-story structure needed to bring it all together into one cohesive structure—top to bottom, this sizeable project needed to poke average in the eye.
Inspired Results
The Lerdahl team considered its long-term partnership and took steps to get a fresh perspective and glean out a sense of the forward-looking vision of Duluth’s leadership team.
A critical aspect of the project was to attract top talent to the town of Mount Horeb. It’s a short drive from Madison, Wisconsin but having a space that speaks to culture and community was crucial in attracting the next generation of people to poke average in the eye.
The scale of this project was immense. There were over 200 workstations and over 50 private offices to furnish. The job scope also included a work café, collaboration spaces, lounge areas, conference rooms, and training rooms. As one will see in the photos below, a careful eye for the Duluth Trading Company Brand came through from top to bottom.
The work café is a remarkable space that includes multiple collaboration outlets, a beautiful patio with vibrant furniture, and fosters a sense of community within the Duluth Trading Company workplace.
